Our Kindergarten Kindness Creates Peace winner is Avery Campbell! This is what her teacher had to say about her: “Avery shows kindness by using kind words and including others. She has a great smile that she shares with classmates. Not only is Avery great with her peers, but she is also very respectful to adults. She is a great example!”
We are so proud of you, Avery! Thank you for being such a bright light at Foothills.

Falcons of the Month – February
These incredible students were shining examples of being NICE all month long!
In February at Foothills, we focused on what it truly means to be NICE. We celebrated Kindness Week with fun dress-up days, but more importantly, we learned how to treat one another with compassion, empathy, and respect.
Here’s what our Falcons learned:
During Kindness Week, we participated in fun dress-up days. But the most important thing we did was learn about kindness.
In Mrs. Brindley’s lessons this month, we learned a lot about being kind and nice.
Kindergarteners learned how to include others during recess.
First graders learned about how to use the buddy bench to make sure no one feels alone.
Second grade learned that spreading kindness helps others feel better — and it helps us feel good too.
Third graders learned about empathy and how to see things from someone else’s point of view.
Fourth graders practiced breathing strategies to help when they’re feeling big emotions.
Fifth grade focused on empathy and remembering that everyone we meet is going through something hard or has gone through something difficult.
We are so proud of our Falcons for choosing kindness, practicing empathy, and showing what it means to be NICE.

PE at Foothills Elementary is an opportunity for all children to bond through play. This bond helps build a positive foundation for children to learn together in the classroom. I love to see how they cheer each other on and grow together as a class. Their happy screams and joyful faces are my best payday!

🌳✨ Welcome to Skye's Treehouse ✨🌳
At Foothills, the Treehouse is a special space designed to help students regulate emotions and reset when they need it most.
This calming room is all about Zones and self-regulation. Students can:
🛖 Relax in our cozy teepee
🧸 Visit the calming corner
🤸♀️ Bounce out extra energy on the trampoline
📚 Focus in a secluded workspace
We also practice simple breathing techniques to help students slow down, refocus, and return to learning feeling confident and in control.
The Treehouse reminds our students that it’s okay to have big feelings — and that they have tools to manage them.
