Kindergarten classes got to learn about Fire Fighters this week! They climbed in the truck, tried on heavy gear and sprayed the fire hose!

In Mrs, Gray's class they have been comparing lengths of objects. They are able to play a game to practice finding which object was shorter and longer. Her kiddos are so smart!

In Mrs. Haroldsen’s 1st grade, we are exploring new places and trying new things. We go on field trips to help us learn about different places in our community.

Our Falcons have been loving their Fall art projects. They've been experimenting with different colors and paper scraps to make amazing art.

Miss Manning’s class has been practicing making arrays and working on identifying the multiplication facts that go with them. What better way to practice than with fruit snacks??

What does a witch put on her waffles? You’ll have to come to the Salem Library on Saturday, October 11th to find out! Enjoy crafts, activities, potions — and of course... Witchy Waffles! Special guest Jennifer K. Clark, author of The Wizard’s Workshop: A Science Activity Book, will be hosting a hands-on potion-making station. Costumes encouraged!

🥧Pies and Plenty of Fun! Get ready, Foothills students! It's time for our hilarious Pie-A-Teacher Challenge!🥧🪙 Starting tomorrow. Monday, October 6th through Friday, October 10th, we'll have special voting jars out in the foyer every morning. Look for your favorite teachers' pictures and drop in your spare cash and coins to vote for who you want to see get pied! A teacher from each grade with the most votes gets a pie to the face at a special assembly! Every penny is a vote, and all the money raised supplements our main Fall Festival fundraiser. The Foothills Team Leaders headed to Salt Lake City this past week to dive deep into the power of PLC work! We love learning from the best in the field and connecting with other passionate educators. We’re excited to bring back fresh ideas and strategies to help our students learn at the highest levels.

September has been so fun in the library! We did our first Silent Read-a-Thon, built amazing creations, had an epic library scavenger hunt, and of course, read lots of books!
