With the arrival of November, students in Mrs. Gurney’s class have been decorating their own gratitude journals. This activity has been a fun chance for students to be creative as well as an opportunity for them to cultivate an attitude of thankfulness each morning. These journals will serve as a daily morning work task throughout the month, the personal touches added by each student will surely inspire a deeper connection to their daily reflections and foster a sense of gratitude that extends beyond the classroom.

With the start of November, we are excited to have different activities at our school to celebrate Veterans Day. One of the activities we do is create a Veterans Wall with all the Veterans our students know. Attached is a form to fill out if you know a Veteran and want to recognize them on our Foothills Veterans Wall.
Once you have it filled out, turn the paper into the office. We will be accepting Veterans' papers through the upcoming week.
Thanks for your help with this! The students love reading about all the different Veterans!

Mrs. Gammell's class has been learning about energy and how it can be transferred. Our class built a small rollercoaster and sent marbles down it to see if we could transfer the energy to another marble. We love science!

Mrs. Staheli's class practiced making a ten to help us add bigger numbers. We pretended to be in a bus and only ten people were allowed on the bus.

📚 Kindergarten just wrapped up our Classic Stories unit! We've explored timeless tales like “The Three Little Pigs,” “Chicken Little,” and “Goldilocks and the Three Bears,” and ventured into stories from around the world with "Momotaro, Peach Boy" from Japan and "The Story of Jumping Mouse," a Native American legend. Through these stories, we've learned about story elements and gained a deeper appreciation for the rich world of fiction across cultures! 🌍
