Park View Elementary

First graders had a great time with “Adopt a Pet Day!” They got to choose a pet, create an adoption certificate, and participate in so many fun learning activities throughout the day. They made homes for their pets, measured and weighed them using snacks, completed graphing and writing activities, and created little memory books. While their pets napped, they showed how hardworking and responsible they were by still fitting in Skills and Math lessons! Our pets were so impressed, and the students did such a great job taking care of them that they even got to take them home!

Our second graders had an exciting morning exploring the Payson City library and fire station! We loved seeing their curiosity grow as they learned about the library summer reading program, enjoyed a story time, toured the fire trucks and met some amazing firefighters!

Huge congratulations to Shanna Walker on being named Principal of the Year! 🎉 Thank you for the incredible leadership, vision, and heart you have poured into our school community. Your dedication to students, staff, and families has made a lasting impact, and this recognition is so well deserved. We are grateful for the way you lead with kindness, high expectations, and unwavering support for everyone around you. Park View is better because of you. First graders had a BEAUTIFUL day at Utah’s Hogle Zoo! They got to see many animals and learn about their different habitats. We are so grateful for all of our parent volunteers in helping make it a great day!

Our 4th graders had a wonderful Parent Night celebrating Utah! 🤠🏔️❤️ Students worked so hard learning about Utah’s history, regions, symbols, culture, and traditions, and it was so fun to see them share their learning with family and friends. Our second graders have been learning all about Earth’s features and discovered why beaches have sand! 🌊☀️ Through hands-on learning and exploration, students learned how rocks break down over time into tiny pieces that eventually become sand. Science is even more fun when you can see how the world around you works! Way to go, second grade! 🐝
