Popcorn started becoming popular in the U.S in the middle 1800's.
It wasn't until Charles Cretors, a candy store owner, developed a machine for popping corn with steam that the tasty treat became more abundantly poppable.
By 1900 he had horse drawn popcorn wagons going through the streets of Chicago.

The annual lighting ceremony at Mapleton city park took place, and our 1st grade was able to sing at it again, like before in past years. We love this annual tradition that is filled with so many fun and festive activities. The city did an incredible job on the park this year. Stop and enjoy the lights when you can.
