Priya Marzan received the Kindness Creates Peace Award! Here's why Priya was chosen:
Priya Marzan is a student who shows kindness to everyone! She is always the first to jump up (without being asked) to help me or someone else in the class who is struggling: a child who can't find the correct page number or offering an extra pencil to someone who can't find theirs. One day, a student came in late, crying and upset. Priya immediately went over and hugged her, patted her back, and pulled up a chair to sit next to her. Another student comes into our classroom each morning and often needs extra guidance and support. Priya takes it upon herself each day to sit next to him and help guide him through the activity or bookwork pages we are doing. Priya is an excellent example of kindness to our class and me!"
Congratulations, Priya! You are so deserving of this award! @kindnesscreatespeace

In 5th Grade this week, we have students visiting from BYU who are exploring the education field. In Mrs. Melander’s class, they guided her students in engineering contraptions for an egg drop. Mrs. Melander’s students had a budget to purchase materials to build their contraptions with like cardboard, marshmallows, popsicle sticks, and bubble wrap. They could even purchase a practice Easter egg. This was a great challenge of testing our ingenuity and making improvements! #FalconStrong #TogetherWeFly
